Papa's Lap

As I sat with my Papa on the front steps of His house we talked about the journey I was about to take. He told me it wouldn't be easy, that things would get difficult and that any time I was in trouble I could call Him and He would come to my rescue. I assured Him it would be okay, I knew what I was doing, I was proud to go out and tell everyone what a great Dad I have and how much He taught me. He warned me that I might forget who He was, and that He would send people from time to time to remind me where home was, and that my Dad was waiting to hear from me. I assured Him, don't worry Dad, I could never forget you or home. Gently my Father held me in His arms and then sent me on my way to earth. He knew me before I was born. Can't wait to get back home, Dad was right about everything!
