About the Book

From 1942-1945, Carroll Curry served in the U.S. Army in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. On the envelopes containing letters to his bride, Opal Gates Curry, Carroll drew whimsical illustrations. These are the envelopes still in existence, found among Opal's papers after her death in October 2010.
