Life is a precious gift. There is beauty around us everyday if we look for it. Often times, I express my excitement for life through writing.
Friends, Family, Music, Art, Nature and my own Emotions are a catalyst for writing. Sometimes I write to remember, sometimes I write to come to know how I believe. These poems are a collection of my living, loving and growing.

Valerie taught elementary education 40 years, specializing in Writing Workshop and History. Having been influenced by her Irish and German grandmothers, she helped her students learn about their own culture. She is married with two sons and a daughter. She has seven grandchildren. She lives in Michigan and is writing her second novel. This is her second Poetry book.
