Jessie, Mike and their dog, Spike are caught in one of nature's most furious storms. When a big storm forms near the Bahamas and is heading for Galveston, Texas, Jessie and her family plan to evacuate and head over to Oklahoma. But when the traffic is to backed up, they are forced to stay in their home to out run the storm. When the house blows apart and Jessie, Mike and Spike lose contact with them. Can Jessie, Mike, Spike, along with the help of Jessie's friend, Elizabeth out run the storm or will they get blown away by category five Hurricane Rita.
