Peteloaf is a rather mysterious character, some believe just a figment of the collective literate world's imagination. There has been no reported sightings of him since 1932, and all of the sudden a book just came out of nowhere. No living person knows or will likely ever know who the mysterious man is. Judging by his writing, however, it is likely he was inspired by divine provedence. NBD.
