The Lion and the Mouse lesson at Jefferson Elementary was inspired by Jerry Pinkney’s Caldecott winning picture book, also titled “The Lion and the Mouse”. Students studied different illustrator’s styles and biographies in order to learn how to develop their own illustration process.Google Earth was used for geographic reference.
