I was born in 1952 into a close knit Italian family. Sundays and holidays were all about family and we made the rounds to both sides, visiting relatives, like a ritual. Dad was strict but both he and mom spoiled both my sister and I. We grew up in western New York in a lovely little village named LeRoy, whose claim to fame is the birth place of Jell-O. We spent summers on grandpa’s little 12 acre farm in Attica,NY and back home playing in the creek by our house near the railroad tracks on the “Jersey side” part of town. My childhood spanned the 50s and 60s, a great time to be a kid. I married young to my wife Brenda and life was good until mom died of cancer in 1979. Life as I knew it would never be the same. Dad suffered the same fate and followed her 10 years later. As of today we have two daughters, both married and 4 granddaughters. My world now revolves around them. I took up poetry as a way to preserve my thoughts, memories and observations on life, for my family and..
