Marcy was important to all of us. To some of us she was our sister, to others she was a cousin or an aunt. She was a friend, she was a co-worker or host that became a lifetime friend, and she was also a mother and grandmother, but to all of us, she was an angel. The absence of her in our everyday lives is going to be painful, so I thought it would be cathartic if we had a piece of her with us. Her poems represent a difficult time in her life, yet she was able to find happiness with her friends and her family. If we live our lives giving in the way that she gave and lived each and every day of her life, her spirit will live on through us.
