I started writing as a way to express myself because no one would listen to me. The more I wrote,the more I felt a sense of relief. I can write poetry in a matter of minutes,When I was 17 years old,I entrusted some of my work to a teacher who in turn was supposed to give them to a publisher friend,nothing ever became of it and my work was never returned.It would be 17 years before I started back writing again. I had to get over the hurt,and knowing that my work encouraged people,made it worth it.
