About Me
Daniel Bridgwater was born on 13th June 1987 to Tracey and David Bridgwater. In order to pursue his childhood ambitions of becoming a Tutor of Music, he began learning at the age of 8, taking up the Violin at Cronehills Primary School (now Eaton Valley Primary School). After two years of tuition, he opted against playing the violin and continued to pursue his interest in musical instruments in 1998, where he began to study the Tuba at High School. Daniel continued to develop his tuba playing under Stuart Birnie throughout his time at secondary school, and was highly encouraged by Head of Department Sarah Dawson. He also attended regular rehearsals with Sandwell Youth Music, playing in their Concert Band, Brass Band and Orchestra. With the help and support of his tutors, friends and family, Daniel attained a place at Birmingham Conservatoire, studying under the likes of Stuart Bernie, David Gordon-Shute, James Gourlay, Oren Marshall and Graham Sibley. During this time he has played for various extra-curricular organisations, such as CBSO Youth Orchestra, Birmingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra and Sovereign Brass Band.
Daniel continues to pursue his interests in music by attending Brass Bands and Orchestras, and hopes that he will be able to pass on the knowledge and experience he has gained from many of his peers.
