Deborah La'Sassier is a native of High Point, N.C. Deborah is a poet and author of four books, "Healing Through Poetry, Understanding is the Key, Mental Roadblocks and When Color Fades"

Deborah is a member of the Black Writers United, Civil Rights. Org. and Black World Newspaper. She has received the Editor's Choice Award for the past five years for her achievements in poetry. She is a distinquished member of the ISP, AIP and received the Poet of Merit Award in Orlando Florida, for her award winning poem, "Rebirth of a Woman."
