Jo Ann Pantanizopoulos is neither a fortune teller nor fortune hunter but aspires to be both. She has published Greek lullaby translations, articles on young adult literature, and essays and poetry in Breathing the Same Air, Literary Lunch, Migrants and Stowaways, Low Explosions: Writings of the Body, Outscape: Writings on Fences and Frontiers, and Motif: Writing by Ear. She is currently working on translations of popular Greek songs about xenitia, lamentations of living in a foreign land.
