The author, Jasmine A. Gray, is an 8 year old girl. Jasmine loves to write, draw, paint and cook. When she was a toddler, she said she wanted to be a "Cooker Man" when she grew up.

Jasmine spends a lot of her time playing with friends and thinking about ways she can help others.

Jasmine is a 3rd Grade Student at Shenandoah Elementary where she is in the Gifted & Talented program. She currently has a 3.98 grade point average and has been selected by her Teacher's for the Citizenship of the Year Award two consecutive years.

Jasmine lives with her parents and has one big brother, Joshua.
