As a proud Aunt, I have always tried to come up with fun things for my nieces to look back on one day and remember fondly of their "Aunt Mer". The eldest loves to have books read to her and she was forevermore wanting everyone to make up stories. My husband, Damon, and father-in-law, Vernon (aka: Grandaddy) are pilots so one day, Grandaddy starting making up stories about a baby airplane and Captain Damon. Oh the adventures they would have! I decided there was no better way to preserve those memories for my sweet girls than to turn Grandaddy's stories into a book. The hope is that one day, they might be able to read them to their own children and remember how much they enjoyed Grandaddy's stories about a silly little airplane.
