I became a great-grandmother two years ago. Since Zaine was born I have unable to travel to Kansas City, Missouri to meet him. Books have always been important to me. And I have always expressed myself through writing, non-professionally. But several years ago, under the name Serendipity*, I began to design and produce handmade greeting cards. Since moving to South Carolina four years ago, I have sold these cards and an assortment of original craft items at Charity Bazaars and gift shops in the Fort Mill area. I am looking forward to the day I can read this book to Zaine in person. There are plans for a second book after Zaine's little brother is born later this year.
