Margaret Marbold Ennenga was born in 1892, before the days of electric lights, the telephone, the automobile and the radio. The world she was born into is so different from the world we are living in now. This letter that she wrote to her grandson Jon in 1964 so beautifully depicts her love for her grandmother Marbold ( Oma) and her grandfather Marbold Opa that I just had to retell it
Susan McCabe Wilson is a member of the Historic Marbold Farmstead, a non-profit association of over 100 members, dedicated to returning the 1850's Marbold Farrmstead to its former glory as a "living history farm", with the mission of education children and adults of life on a self-sufficient German farm at the end of the 19th century.
