About Me
Vylace Q Collins was born in Houston, TX and currently attends public school entering in the 12th grade. Vylace is also enrolled in dual college courses at Lonestar College and University of Houston-Downtown. Upon completion of both colleges, Vylace will complete 21 college credits. Currently, Vylace has a grade point average of 3.98.

Vylace is a member of the National Honor Society, where she holds the position of Treasury. A member of Dekaney Diamond Dance Team, and holds the position as Chaplin. Vylace is a member of Texas Dance Educators Association, ESP Productions “ All American Halftime Show “ and a 3rd year dancer in the Capital One Bowl Halftime Show held in Orlando Florida on New Years Day.

Vylace is a member of Girl Scouts of America Troop 4469, and currently completing the Gold Award. Vylace’s Gold Award Service Project held at Texas Children Hospital Heart Center in Houston.

The project consist of a book drive for the Texas Children Library, children book titled “Dollar Lost his Bark” written by Vylace is one of the many books donated by other sources. a Musical Skit, written by Vylace presented by the volunteers of the project titled “The 3 Little Pigs Got Talent, a Craft Show titled “Living In Colors” where the project volunteers will assist the children with making wrist bracelets of different colors, a crafty coloring session, a Solo Dance titled “Dance For Hearts” Vylace performed an award winning competition dance and group dance for the children and their family members.

Vylace inspiration to serve at Texas Children Hospital is due to Vylace herself was a patient at Texas Children Hospital at the age of 7. She was born with a heart defect called Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and is one of the many success stories fromTexas Children Hospital. Her experience as a heart patient has driven her with compassion and care for these small patients.

Vylace has written several short stories, and poems. She participates in volunteering positions, honorable selection and recommendations, service projects locally, citywide and statewide. She has received several achievement awards, entered and won many contests.

Vylace plans to attend college in the area of math and science, and has completed all requirments to enter into any University of her choice.
