My name is Elise, and I am a novelist and a poet. But I am also a magician, an enchantress, a spy, a ghost, and a sylph. At least in my writing. In real life I am an artist, a tree-climber, and a bumblebee petter. And I actually do know a handful of magic tricks.



I find inspiration in nature, especially flowing water, wispering wind, and groaning trees, and cascading sunlight. Needless to say, I work best when it is sunny blue-skied, mildly warm, with a slight breeze, and speckled with clouds.



My Christian beliefs are also reflected in my writings, such as morals and symbols close to my heart. My writing is also continuously influenced by mythology (especially Greek), Fairytales, folktales, and the supernatural. And by the current author's style I am reading, the movie I last watched, the story I recently heard, and the painting I just studied. And surprisingly Earth science. Go figure.
