About Author
Babusia Katrusia is Bennett's maternal grandmother. Babusia Katrusia means "Grandma Kathy" in Ukrainian.
Babusia wanted to keep the memories of Bennett as a little boy alive by writing this book for him.
Over the span of more than 40 years, Bennett's "babusia" was a school teacher, a second language consultant, Social Studies curriculum writer and a principal with Edmonton Catholic Schools. Babusia Katrusia has a master's degree in Early Literacy and has loved teaching children to read and write in numerous schools including the Ukrainian Bilingual program for over 20 years.
