Abuela grew up in Guatemala. Coming from a big family she learned many life skills at a young age. This was the beginning of her experience with tortillas. Who knew such a simple food could have such a long process to make.

I have always loved reading, and have always wanted to write children's books. I have my masters in teaching and my bachelors of arts in Human development. I am a wife and mother to three wonderful children.
