About the Book

First graders used web-based sources and printed documents to learn about their animal. Students created their own artwork to illustrate their pages using the “How to Draw” lessons from Sheri Amsel’s Exploring Nature database. This book was inspired by the work of Steve Jenkins and Robin Page, authors of the book, What Do You Do With a Tail Like This? Scholastic, 2003.
