Jim Hawkins, a young boy, lives at the Admiral Benbow Inn with his parents. One day, an old sailor named Billy Bones arrives and takes up lodging. Billy hides a treasure map, but soon dies after being visited by dangerous pirates searching for the map.
Jim discovers the treasure map in Billy’s chest and decides to go on a quest to find the treasure. He joins a voyage on the ship Hispaniola, which is captained by Captain Smollett. Among the crew is the seemingly trustworthy Long John Silver, a one-legged cook who is secretly a pirate planning a mutiny.
During the journey, Jim uncovers Silver’s plot. Pirates on board take over parts of the ship, leading to battles and tense standoffs. Jim and a few loyal crew members fight bravely to keep control of the treasure hunt.
