Alfie, a smart young boy, 15 years of age whose favourite lessons are English and I.T has just begun his first day of year 11.
Alfie starts the day with I.T , his favourite lesson, but that's until Mr Sadum announces that he's "marked the exam papers and has the results". Anxiety floods Alfie's mind as Mr Sadum, his I.T. teacher gives out the marked tests. Alfie got a 92% last time and is hoping to beat it, if not match it.
Alfie?" Said Mr Sadum.
"Yes." Said Alfie .
"You got 86% in your test", said Mr Sadum, as he instructs the class to give him a round of applause.
However, as the round of applause begun , Alfie's intrusive thoughts overwhelmed his mind:
"Failure!" "Loser!" "Your mum will be disappointed in you like always!"
Nevertheless he carries on smiling and thanked everyone. What will his parents think?
Alfie starts going through his test paper, seeing all the green ticks, but then he sees a red cross, that's where he went wrong. He takes notes on a separate piece of paper, knowing that he will have to go home and revise this even more.
The bell rings. Lunch time at last.
