One fine day, just a few weeks before their daughter's big wedding, Katie happened across a listing on Zillow. It showed a funky, mint-green round home with completely outdated interiors. She was intrigued. She Googled the address, examined satellite images, and trolled the area vicariously through her computer for weeks and weeks. Katie was obsessed, but knew the timing was horrible. Weddings are expensive, and anyway - who has time for this? But as soon as that wedding was over and she showed the listing to Greg, he became hooked as well. This is the story of what has happened since.

Greg and Katie have been married for over 30 years. They each held corporate jobs for years and years; Katie was able to retire when their two children were in their late elementary school years, but Greg soldiered on. They've worked on many projects together through the years, Katie mostly serving as Greg's gaffer while the skilled work falls to Greg. With Greg doing yeoman's work, they've finished off three basements, added two bathrooms, remodeled three other bathrooms, painted furniture, added murals to multiple walls, created a floor lamp from a boat motor and added a lamp shade with vintage family photos. So, they thought, what could be so hard about THIS project?
