About Author
On behalf of the New Haven Public Schools Board of Education, I am pleased to present this beautiful collection of visual artworks created by our students. The creative talent possessed by so many of our students is something for each of them, their parents and teachers and our entire district to be immensely proud to claim.
As a district, we view arts exposure as an essential part of a child’s education. Through our Comprehensive Arts Program, led by Ms. Nilda Morales, our children get to experience the arts through performances in visual arts, dance, drama and music as well as professional artists who share their talents on a daily basis in our schools. Additionally, our students are able to take advantage of New Haven’s world-class arts institutions, thanks to our many partnerships in the community.
Congratulations to all the students, teachers, parents and administrators who worked so hard to make this collection possible.
