This project is dedicated to my dad and for my mother, in remembrance of dad's WW ll tour of duty in 1944 and the MTO.
I am the eldest son of Art & Eleanor Pekarek, born while dad was in the service, USAAF. I was born in Chicago Illinois. My brothers are Art Jr., Mike, Tim and my surviving sister Christine.
My wife Jo and I have 5 children, Ken, Kathy, Diana, Jeff, and Jill. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and relocated here in 1976.
This book also serves as a remembrance of not only Arthur E Pekarek but also of all the men and women who served during WW ll. I hope it also serves as a tribute to all who have and are serving in the Military.
This edition is the "color" version and the cost is $101.00 each. The book has been expanded to 437 pages with added information on some of the missions. There are more stories of the B-26s and B-25s in the MTO.
There are maps and pictures that are in color. Some of the text is in different colors but the book can still be read as the different colors of text are also different fonts so they are easy to recognize.
