bpearlj is the sixth child and fifth daughter of Dorothy Snell Jenkins. Born April 6, 1953, Houston, TX, St. Elizabeth hospital, fifth ward section of the city. Graduated high school from Jack Yates High school in Houston's third ward. Received her BA degree from Prairie View A & M University in Business Education and a MA degree from Texas Southern University in Clinical Psychology. Taught in Houston Independent School District for 30 years and retired in May 2007. At which time, she opened a skin care salon on July 3, 2007. Currently a skin care specialist who performs manicures, pedicures, facials, and hair removal.
The author has a special love for her family.
