I started out cooking at age 6, standing on a chair and frying my first egg....and I've been cooking ever since. I'm not a professional cook, but I do love it!
I wanted to create a cookbook that I could leave to my family so they would have something to remember me by. I'm used to just throwing things together and it turning out good and tasty. So, in order to put my recipes on paper, I had to literally sit down every time I cooked and write down the amounts I put in my creations.
My passion for cooking comes a lot from my Mother and some from my Father (her Virginia roots and my Dad's Appalachian roots). My Granny Jessee was an influence on Mother which passed from previous generations to generations.
Cooking for a crowd from each generation wasn't anything new because Mom came from a long line of great home-cooks and huge families.
With a mixture of Mom's and Dad's influence and my twist on some things, this cookbook has finally come together.
