Imagine this: your neighbor, Dr. Brown, has created a time machine out of a DeLorean. Among other things, Dr. Brown would like to explore the ancient history of the earth and has asked for your help. He has found a book titled “Plate Tectonics….How the Earth was Formed”. After he excitedly opened the book, he finds only a series of empty pages. Where was all the information? How is he supposed to learn about plate tectonics if the book is empty?
