BALIKAS - KOLEKSION YA SARA'Y TONGTONG TAN ANLONG ËD PANGASINAN

Balikas: An Anthology of Literary Works in Pangasinan is a pioneering

collection of creative works by emerging writers in the Municipality of

Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. It marks the first collective literary endeavor of

Pozorrubian teachers and students who have ventured into local language

writing.

This project was made possible through the collaboration between the

Local Government Unit of Pozorrubio and the National Commission for Culture

and the Arts, under an agreement implemented from September 2025 to

February 2026.

The anthology, composed of short stories and poems, was born from

the Municipality’s desire to contribute to the growing body of literature in

Pozorrubio and the Province of Pangasinan. More importantly, it seeks to

revitalize and strengthen the use of the Pangasinan language as a living,

dynamic, and evolving medium of intellectual and creative expression.
