Balwin the seahorse lives in a peaceful sea community with all his sea creature friends. One day, Balwin’s friend gets trapped by plastic waste thrown into the ocean and is badly hurt. The next day it happens again to more and more fish in the community. Balwin knows something needs to change and wants to stand up for himself and his friends. He wants to show the humans how it is not okay to harm their home. The elder fish in the community think it is a bad idea because the humans will never listen and will continue to throw trash in the Ocean. This frustrates Balwin, so he comes up with a plan. They come up with a plan to go to the Famous Hawaiian water show to make a statement there for all the humans to see. But this will be a long hard journey to get there from California, so they are going to need the help they can get from all the sea creatures. This story is about their journey to Hawaii and gaining friends and fish along the way to help them make a difference in the world.

Johanna Lewis attended Vanguard University so she can pursue softball and her faith. She also went there because of how close it was to the beach. She loves being on the beach and getting in the water surrounded by friends and family. When she grows up she wants to be a first grade teacher. She is in a college class where she gets to write her very first children’s book. She wrote this book to try and make a difference for the future generation. She wants kids to see the impact pollution has on sea animals. She also wrote this so that one day she can read it to her very own first grade class and maybe her own children down the road.
