The author of the short story "Be Friends With Your Brother" is fourteen year old Lilla Parada. Lilla was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Though she spent most of her summers in small town Austin, Minnesota. Lilla was inspired to write her short story after her english teacher assigned it to her. She didn't was to write some silly story on printer paper like everyone else. She wanted to give her writing meaning. Lilla is a freshman in highs chool and is taking honors english. She hopes to one day achieve her goal of being a college english professor. For now, she hopes her writing can affect and direct the lives of many. Both young and old.
