Behind The Hood is about a young girl who grew up not understanding who she was. She felt like she was in the wrong body. But didn't really know how to feel about it. She lived in a house hold that didn't allow you to be gay, lesbian, trans, bi. It just wasn't allowed. She got bullied really bad just because she was trying to be the person that she felt she was inside. So she would hide herself with a hoodie. It didn't matter how hot or cold it was, She wore a hoodie. It was her safety cape. She used it to hide from the ugly world that she lived in. She lived this life all the way until she met someone who taught her that its okay to be yourself. That person accepted her for who she was and didn't second guess being in her life. At once she felt seen and felt like she didn't need to hide herself anymore. She felt as though she was someone. That no matter what the next person had to say or feel about her. As long as she was happy within herself that's all that matters.
