A story of how Bunie C. Bones used hip-hop music to cope with the many obstacles she faced when she began junior high school. She endured many challenges and heartbreaks so she began to explore painting and hip-hop music to serve as an emotional outlet for her.

Shanice Guerrier was born in Boynton Beach, Florida and raised in Delray Beach, Florida. She attended Atlantic High School where she was the president of the literary club and from there she found her passion for writing. She went on to obtain her bachelors degree in creative writing at the Florida State University. She then completed her PhD at the University of Montana. There she was offered an executive writing position at Children's Books Incorporated. She is currently the CEO of the children's book series Bunie C. Bones.
