I have been married to my husband Robbie for seven years in August, 2010. We live in Helena, Alabama. We have been trying for a baby for almost six years now. You can read about our journey in the Mama Drama section of this site. I will hopefully be claiming the “MAMA” title with these fabulous ladies, soon. For now I am a first grade teacher for Shelby County Schools in Alabama. I have been an educator for 10 years. I am a graduate of West Alabama with my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I come from a family of educators. My mom has been a teacher for almost 40 years in Montgomery Alabama Public School System. My older sister has been teaching for 6 years off and on (between babies) and lives in Niceville, Florida. Lastly, my younger sister attends the University of Alabama and is pursuing her education degree. Education was always very important to my family and now educating is very important to me. For five years, I have mentored interns from The University of Montevallo. One who went on to be my co-teacher that next year and we have been co-teachers of first grade for four years now. Last year, I took my experience to the next level when I taught as an Adjunct Professor in education at the University of Montevallo. In my job, I work very closely with my students, parents, administrators, other teachers, interns, and professors. I hope that I can help anyone that has any type of question. I love what I do and I LOVE talking about what I do. So bring on the questions: Remember there is no such thing as a stupid question!
