Christmas Every Day is a short story written and published by William Dean Howells in 1892. It's a tale of a Father sharing a quick morning story with his daughter about a young girl who loves Christmas so much that she wishes it would be Christmas every day. The wish is ultimately granted by a fairy and for a year the girl and the small town she resides in experiences the nightmare of having Christmas every day for 365 consecutive days.

He is well known and studied worldwide by many students for his broad range of work, however his writing style typically favored naturalism.
