The author is a young 13 year old girl. That had a dream to write a book since age 5. The time finally came as she had to embark on a school project and her zeal to write her book became more and more intense. Born in the laid back and lively state of Florida she knew one day her writing would touch many hearts. Bullied since starting school in kindergarten allowed her to never give up and to speak out and stand up for others that were facing similar issues. She was teased about her hair, her complexion and for remaining respectful to adults. Kids pulled her hair and called her awful names. Many nights she came home and cried but her Mom stood by her side as well as her siblings and always encouraged her. She was a fighter and never gave in. Today she volunteers with her family at places such as The Color Run of Ft Lauderdale, Senior Citizen homes, Church, Homeless events and more. Reading inspires her and motivates her to keep going.
