17 year old boy, Dawson Molvolio, is very troubled. From his mother's murder, he is left with this burden of incredible unluckiness and depressions. Once he finds out who the killer is, he is left with a future he cannot escape.

Stevie is a 13 year old high school student. She had a very difficult childhood that she handled well, even into her teenage years. Her wits and love for writing gave her a boost in school and her drive to do well was almost nonexistent, but she always ended up doing so. Skipping the 6th grade, Stevie was (and still continues to be) looked down upon as the youngest and least experienced, however, in many ways, is much more experienced than her peers.
