This is a photo-diary of Ottawa's annual ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) awareness walk.
Robert Wein suffered an acquired brain injury on July 19, 2009. He was on a bike ride with 4 friends. He was severely injured, and is permanently disabled.

Due to an unfortunate accident while biking with friends, I was dealt a serious injury. I received an acquired brain injury, leaving me disabled. I want to increase awareness of an acquired brain injury. As a member of the PARTY Program (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth, http://www.partyprogram.com/), I'm giving a monthly presentation at the hospital to high school students about bicycle safety, and alcohol-related accidents. Also, I organized Conquer Acquired Brain Injury, a world-wide walk that will happen in the month of June, in countries including Australia, Belgium, Scotland, Spain, US, and multiple sites in Canada. I am trying to raise awareness, around the world, of an acquired brain injury. The reason for the month of June is because Ottawa's mayor declared the month of June as Ottawa's "brain injury awareness month.
