Hundreds of very important letters (January 20, 1857 - November 23, 1861) from Emperor Alexander II to his brother, GD Konstantin Nikolaiyevich. While the letters of the Sovereign can be terse, those of the Grand Duke are high explanatory and descriptive in the role played by the younger brother with the Emperor of France, Cavour of Italy and the German heads of State.
