Katelyn Smith is 20 years old. Katelyn wrote this book when she was in 3rd grade at Morrison Elementary School. Her story was entered in WCTE's 2009 Reading Rainbow Young Writers & Illustrators Contest by her teacher, Mrs. Tidwell. Katelyn was a local winner for her story. She has been fighting brain cancer since April 2018.
