Cutting Kayle

Kayle Layden is a sixteen year old girl living in sunny California. Her parents divorced when she was three years old, and has lived with her constantly drunken or high mother. Her father disappeared shortly after the divorce, so Kayle is stuck living with her mother. Kayle has become very depressed over the years, and lately she's been cutting and almost attempting suicide. Kayle meets Daren, a depressed boy very much like herself. Daren has a mysteriousness that draws Kayle to him.

Will Kayle fall hard for Daren, fall into a regular, happy life with Daren, or will Daren lead her to the darkest and deadliest parts of her life?
