About the Book

This story book “Dagiti Adal ken Tawid Iti Lakasa ni Tata Dencio” is a compilation of short stories and poems intended for school children especially in the elementary level. Short stories play a vigorous role in the growth and development of children. The books they read and the characters they get to know can become like friends. It’s also good for children to understand that books are a valuable source of information and that good reading skills are important for success in their future lives. Reading also helps children with their confidence levels, coping with feelings and language and learning.

During these times of the pandemic, a lot of challenges are being faced. The 'New Normal' in education or the DepEd's Learning Continuity Plan had posted great challenges in the education sector. Since there are no face-to-face classes, some p most especially the struggling ones are not given much attention. This reality had moved me come up with this story book.

Dennis Corsino Ramirez is a School Principal II of Nagbacalan Elementary School, Paoay District, Schools Division of Ilocos Norte. He finished his Doctor of Education degree major in Educational Management from Northwestern University, Laoag City and presently finishing his Doctor of Philosophy in Baguio Central University. He earned his Master of Arts in Education degree, major in Social Studies from the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) from where he also earned his bachelor’s degree. He attended his elementary education at Badoc North Central School and high school at Badoc Junior College in Badoc, Ilocos Norte where he graduated as class valedictorian.
