This powerful and inspiring quotation from Dutch Historian Johan Huizinga inspired the conceptualization and birth of this book DAMILI IN THE CLASSROOM 10: Contextualized Textbook in Damili as a Means of Cultural Preservation. It aims to preserve the culture of damili (pottery) among the youth.

This textbook integrates the principles of contextualization, constructivism and cultural education to make learning more fun, engaging and meaningful. It features parts that are aligned to the steps and processes in damili making such as GATHERING, SCREENING, SPRINKLING, WEDGING, PADDLING, and MOLDING.

With the approval of the Department of Education for San Nicolas National High School to offer Pottery (Damili Making) as an exploratory and specialization course in Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE), these textbooks were created to serve as reference materials to both teachers and students.
