Elaine Milam Vetter is a sixth generation Texan and a native of San Antonio, Texas. She grew up visiting The Alamo as a child with her family. Elaine is descended from the oldest signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence, Collin McKinney. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Texas at Dallas and she earned her MBA from the University of Dallas.

She is married to her high school sweetheart Lewis Vetter. Elaine has two children and three grandchildren. Her love of her family, The Alamo and Texas is well known. Elaine has always had a Chihuahua as a companion!
