This book contains 122 photographs from Robert (Bob) McFarland Weaver's wartime service on the USS Bluebird minesweeper on the Greenland - Iceland patrol during 1943 and 1944. It includes photos of the ship, the officers and men, the local Greenland villagers, the Grondal naval fueling station, and the waters and terrain in the area. It also includes a description of Bob Weaver's life with photographs, a listing of the crew, letters describing his wartime marriage, and his obituary.
