Effervescence has a name that not many people can say, and a personality that not many can match. With her bigger than life personality, and her sense of style to match, everyday is Fashion Week in the halls of Fairly Elementary. With the snickers and chatter of her peers, Effervescence begins to regret some of the bold choices she makes, that is until a special Substitute Teacher makes her see how amazingly special shining her light can be!

Hi,
I am an educator, a wife, a mom, and on most days, barely making it. I have two young Kings, and a young Queen, whom I've modeled many of my characters after. As a mom, it is common to think that our kids are special, even extraordinary. That's a part of the job description I believe. Well, that's not always the case when we get into the real world. I regretfully began to notice that the way I treated my spirited children transitioned from allowing them to wild, carefree, and unapologetically THEM, to trying to fit them into the mold that society could handle, as well as accept. I got a reality check from a very sweet coworker, who reminded me that my children, and myself, may be the light that other people need to live comfortably in the skin that they were given. I hope that my stories help other moms out there, as well as little Kings and Queens. Remember, it is not only okay to be YOU, but sort of the only option we have on this place we call home! ENJOY!
