About the Book

Ella Wells is a very spunky and out-going little girl who at the age of three was diagnosed with a brain tumor which could not be removed. After undergoing many surgeries and multiple failed chemotherapy trials, she headed to Boston, MA with her family to undergo six weeks of proton radiation therapy to hopefully end the growth of her tumor once and for all. At the young age of five, she wore her "magical mask" every day while listening to her favorite music so the magic light beams could destroy her tumor. This book is the sequence of events that took place each day as she bravely did her radiation treatments.
