Emily Elephant, a 9 year-old elephant lives in Sydney, Australia with her parents, Eli and Emma Elephant. One day, Emily was diagnosed with cancer. Emily finds her best friend within another cancer patient, Kenny Koala. As her cancer progresses she begins to lose all of the hair on her body. With Kenny Koala by her side, Emily begins to feel encouraged again. After several months, Kenny Koala loses his battle with cancer and Emily has lost her best friend. Despite the difficulty of losing her best friend to the same illness she has, Emily vowed to stay positive and overcome it. Emily knows that one day she will be with Kenny Koala again, but she also hopes that she has time before this becomes a reality. Will Emily ever become cancer-free?

She writes children's books that will speak to a young audience of cancer patients in order to touch upon the illness in a way that will help them cope with their condition. Her work reflects happiness and stories of triumph over cancer so that cancer patients may feel encouraged in their battle against this difficult illness.
