About the Book
The name “Empty Bee” stems from Melissa’s initials “MTB.” She came up with the name in 7th grade but was “accidentally” placed into an art class a few years later in high school- where she learned that art was something she could never live without.

About Author
Melissa Boccanfuso, born and raised in Norwalk, CT, started her own art & photography business called “Empty Bee Artwork & Photography.” She was a B student, the class clown of 2008, the mascot, was on the golfing team and bowled professionally for thirteen years.
After graduating Keene State College (’11) with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, Melissa completed another life goal and moved to California, where she resided for two years. During this time, Melissa had truly broadened her horizons, where through experiencing different cultures, styles of Art, and vibrant West Coast scenery, enabled her to increase her interests, skills, and passion.
The creation of art is something Melissa will continue to focus on for a very, very long time.
This book is dedicated to her parents, Debi & Vinnie, for letting me get paint all over their carpet, her Grandparents, Stephanie, Kevin, Vincent, the rest of her Aunts, Uncles, cousins, 85 Wilson, Face, Ang, Al, Gabes & Ry. And..
